This stainless steel border spade 9 inch long x 5.5 inch wide head is mirror polished for resistance to rust, minimizes soil and alkalines sticking to the blade. The extra long socket helps to create maximum strength tool for digging.

Our Spear & Jackson garden spade has a 28 inch one piece weather proofed hardwood handle and shaft that is stained in an antique fininh. The shaft spits to form a YD handle and is reveted for additional strength. This quality gardening spade is a smaller version of our Traditional Stainless Digging spade and will last for years when given proper care. Many women find the border spade lighter and easier to use than a full size garden spade.
